What I find fascinating are the conversations in which "management consultants" downplay the whole issues or even describe them as
"crankiness from some techies who want the next big thing".

You even have to be verbally called a "NewWork-smoker" because individual consultants obviously don't understand the subject matter and talk badly about it out of ignorance.

This doesn't bother me at all. In fact, it doesn't surprise me at all, because it's precisely these people who are partly responsible for the fact that Germany is currently in the lower digital midfield (Source: KFW.de).

What I find much more exciting is the independent, serious survey of around 2,000 SMEs conducted by Deutsche Telekom in the "Digitalisation Index for SMEs 2021/22" with the core statement:
➡️Companies focus on security, sustainability and modern working environments.
and more concretely:

▶️"Modern working environments for more productivity -
German companies are increasingly relying on mobile and digital collaboration: new work has established itself as a fixed working model at just under half (49 per cent) of the companies surveyed."

SMEs are taking the reins into their own hands again. That's good and right 😃👍🏻👌
